ASP Dream Tour rookie Jadson Andre, 20, posted the biggest win of his budding career this past week by clinching ASP World Title event No. 3, the Billabong Pro Santa Catarina, over nine-time ASP World Champion Kelly Slater, 38, in front of his adoring home crowd. The colossal victory posted by the youngest competitor on this year’s ASP Dream Tour catapulted the Brazilian rookie to ASP World Title No.4.

Slater Takes ASP World Title Ratings Lead
Nine-time ASP World Champion Kelly Slater, 38, surpassed early-season ratings leader Taj Burrow, 31, to capture the ASP World Title No. 1 position after an impressive runner-up finish to Brazilian rookie Jadson Andre, 20, at the Billabong Pro Santa Catarina. The second place finish at the third stop on this year’s ASP World Title race marks back-to-back Final appearances for Slater after his win at the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach, showing that an unprecedented 10th ASP World Title is within the grasp of the Floridian icon.
