Reef Hawaiian Pro is LIVE
The first jewel of the renowned Vans Triple Crown (an ASP Specialty Series) has kicked off with the ASP PRIME Reef Hawaiian Pro in firing surf at Haleiwa and with the globe’s hottest talent battling against a team of Hawaii’s finest for the crucial points towards their ASP World Ranking as well as a jump on the 2011 Vans Triple Crown Title. With the Reef Hawaiian Pro marking the second-to-last event on the ASP PRIME series, surfing’s youth will be putting it all on the line to establish themselves among the elite.

Watch the Cholo’s Women’s Hawaiian Pro The Cholo’s Women’s Hawaiian Pro, which runs alongside the Reef Hawaiian Pro, marks the first stop of the Vans Triple Crown for the ladies and is also the final event on the ASP Women’s Star Series, marking a make-or-break contest for several of the girls who are trying to qualify for the 2011 ASP Women’s World Tour. With four-time ASP Women’s World Champ Steph Gilmore (AUS), 22, looking to continue her flawless record with another Vans Triple Crown Title and girls looking to escape the qualification bubble, this is one event you won’t want to miss!

Andy Irons: A Life Celebrated
With the tragic passing of Andy Irons (HAW), 32, the entire globe has been taking time to remember one of surfing’s greatest champions with ceremonial paddle-outs everywhere from Indonesia to California. Andy’s family and friends gathered in his hometown of Hanalei, Kauai on Sunday to bid farewell to the man who was loved by so many.

ASP World Masters Returns for 2011 After a sixy-year hiatus, some of surfing’s finest watermen will return next year to compete for the ASP World Masters Championships. Maresias Beach in Sao Paulo, Brazil, will host the historic event which could see icons such as Tom Currren (USA), 46, Mark Occhilupo (AUS), 44, Gary Elkerton (AUS), 46, and Martin Potter (GBR), 45, amongst others as they battle in South American waters for the titles of ASP Masters and ASP Grand Masters Champion.
