Devastating news struck the surfing world last week with the unexpected and tragic passing of Andy Irons (HAW), 33, one of surfing’s greatest champions, biggest influences and icons while he was traveling with an illness from Puerto Rico back to his home in Hawaii. Irons’ legacy will never be forgotten and the all of the ASP family’s hearts go out to Andy’s family and friends at this unimaginable time. Rest in peace Andy.

Slater Takes 10!
After a week of extreme highs and lows, newly crowned ASP World Champion Kelly Slater made sporting history at the Rip Curl Search Puerto Rico, earning an unimaginable 10th ASP World Title by advancing out of his Quarterfinals heat in an amazing display of surfing over Adriano de Souza (BRA), 23, to cement the Floridian icon as the most dominant force the surfing world has ever seen and arguably placing him as the greatest athlete of all time.

Slater Wins Rip Curl Pro Search
Freshly-crowned 10-time ASP World Champion Kelly Slater (USA), 38, completed a flawless day of competition after winning his 10th ASP World Title by posting a perfect 10 point ride in the Rip Curl Pro Search Final against Powerful Aussie standout Bede Durbidge (AUS), 27, to win the Rip Curl Pro Search Puerto Rico, marking his fourth contest win of 2010 and his 45th career ASP elite event victory. Parko’s Tribute to Andy
With the surfing world in mourning over the death of Andy Irons (HAW), 33, people have been coping with the loss of AI in their own ways. Close friend and fellow ASP Dream Tour compatriot Joel Parkinson (AUS), 29, expressed his thoughts and emotions in a recent tribute where he remembers some of his fondest memories spent with Andy and the qualities that made him such a champion.
