Watch the Billabong Pipe Masters!
Although the Pacific is in the midst of a behemoth flat spell that’s has been plaguing the Billabong Pipe Masters in Memory of Andy Irons for nearly a week now, the infamous Banzai Pipeline is expecting a new small-scale swell to reach its reef as soon as Wednesday, allowing for a high performance showdown to wrap up this year’s Vans Triple Crown. With barrels and ramps galore on the way, there will be plenty of action on tap on the North Shore.

Taj’s Two Cents by TransWorld SURF
Taj Burrow (AUS), 32, defending Billabong Pipe Masters champion and perennial ASP World Title contender, has been a staple on the elite ranks for over a decade. In 2009, Burrow flared at Pipe in everything from eight-foot barrels to four foot ramps to snag the prestigious event and the folks at TransWorld SURF caught up with the spry Aussie to get his thoughts on Pipe and the significance that the Vans Triple Crown has on the surfing world.

Laura Enver (AUS), 19, has just wrapped up a banner year. The young Aussie hailing from North Narrabeen snagged the 2010 ASP World Junior Title before charging her way to the top of the ASP Women’s World Rankings, finishing second behind Sally Fitzgibbons (AUS), 19, to secure her position as a rookie on next year’s ASP Top 17. ASP Surfers Sweep Surfer Poll
For the first time in several years, the Surfer Poll awards returned to Hawaii to reward the fans’ favorite surfers at the Turtle Bay Resort on Oahu’s North Shore and ASP surfers dominated the reader poll results in an emotional night dedicated to the late Andy Irons. With emotional highs-and-lows unfolding from the recognition of Kelly Slater’s amazing 10th ASP World Title to a hair-raising A.I. tribute video, the 2010 surfer poll is one night that won’t be forgotten.

Julian Wilson; Young Gun to Top Gun by ESPN
Australian talent Julian Wilson (AUS), 22, has been long talked about as the ‘next big thing.’ The young surfer from the Sunshine coast has proven himself in all aspects of the sport from his mind-blowing video sections to decimating some of surfing’s most finely groomed machines as a wildcard in ASP World Tour events. Entering 2011, Wilson will officially step on to center stage as an ASP World Tour surfer and ESPN thought they’d catch up with the innovative natural footer to discuss his 2010 campaign and his expectations for his rookie year on the ASP Dream Tour.
