Moore Takes Beachley Classic ASP Women’s World Tour sophomore Carissa Moore took her second elite event victory of 2011 last week by topping former ASP Women’s World Champion and Peruvian Icon Sofia Mulanovich to clinch the Commonwealth Bank Beachley Classic and regain the No. 1 position in this year’s heated race for the ASP Women’s World Title. The win earned by Moore marks her fourth consecutive Final appearance this year to put her more than 3,000 points ahead for ASP Women’s World No. 2, Sally Fitzgibbons.

Reynolds Re-Signs with Quiksilver Quiksilver today announced that it has extended and expanded its sponsorship of Dane Reynolds, a leading force in the world of progressive surfing, through 2017. Reynolds, 25, of Ventura, California, and Quiksilver reached agreement earlier this week on the new global deal which extends Dane’s contract with the elite Quiksilver surf team and includes the development and design of signature products.

Pupo Wins Nike 6.0 Lowers Pro High-flying Brazilian Miguel Pupo charged to an amazing victory at Lower Trestles to clinch the ASP PRIME Nike 6.0 Lowers Pro after a progressive showdown saw the young Brazilian upstart top local talent Tanner Gudauskas to move to No. 28 on the men’s ASP World Ranking. Pupo, who was one of many Brazilians to post top performances at the Nike 6.0 Lowers Pro, is within range to qualify for the elite ASP Top 32 at the midyear cut.
