PRIME TIME: Quiksilver Pro Portugal
The Quiksilver Pro Portugal is gearing up to host a flock of the world’s best surfers as they land in Ericiera, Portugal while hunting down the crucial points on offer towards their World Ranking at the sixth ASP PRIME event on the 2011 calendar. ASP Dream Tour talent including C.J. Hobgood, Jeremy Flores, Jadson Andre and Brett Simpson will battle up-and-comers including young Brazilian Gabriel Medina and Granger Larsen from June 14 through 19 so tune in and watch it LIVE.

Conlogue Wins in Portugal
ASP Women’s World Tour rookie Courtney Conlogue extended her lead on the ASP Women’s World Rankings by defeating fellow Californian Lakey Peterson to win the ASP 6-Star Estoril Surf & Music Billabong Girls Pro. The win launches Conlogue more than 3,000 points ahead of the field and marks her second ASP 6-Star win and third final of the season, putting Conlogue in excellent contention to double-qualify for her spot on the elite ASP Top 17 for 2012.

Australian Open for 2012!
Hurley and Billabong have joined forces with Events NSW on behalf of the New South Wales Government to announce a brand new global event for Sydney, the Australian Open of Surfing, sanctioned by the ASP. The event, set to take place at Sydney’s iconic Manly Beach 11 – 19 February 2012 is a global, multifaceted youth and sporting event that will showcase the best in surfing, skate, music, fashion and art with an expected spectator audience of 125,000.

Dusty Payne launched out to a solid start to his 2011 ASP Dream Tour campaign, notching a Quarterfinals result, his career best, at the Quiksilver Pro Gold Coast. In addition to his competitive success, Payne is renowned for capturing some of the most mind-blowing video parts and one has just surfaced on Surfline.com of Dusty going absolutely berserker at his training grounds in Hawaii, punting massive airs, laying down huge carves and pulling into house-sized barrels and Surfline.com has shared it with the rest of the world.

African Wildcards Ready for Mr. Price Pro
Shortly following the ASP PRIME Quiksilver Pro in Portugal, the Mr. Price Pro will unfold at Ballito in South Africa and six of the nation’s finest competitors have been given direct entries into the main  round of 96 including former ASP World Tour surfers Greg Emslie and David Weare along with Brendon Gibbens and others. The event will see the South African talent go blow-for-blow with some of the world’s best!
