Image Important Notice for online and merchant IVR transactions:
Starting from January 1, 2011 all payments made via Master/Visa credit cards over phone (IVR system) will require an additional One Time Password (OTP). This requirement has been made mandatory by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

Introduction of OTP is intended to:
   •   Reduce the possibility of fraudulent transactions
   •   Safeguard the customers

A customer can obtain the OTP by either calling his / her bank over phone or sending a SMS to his / her bank. The OTP is valid for only one transaction, and it expires within 2 to 6 hours of issuance (validity duration depends on the bank).

The process to obtain OTP for leading banks is described below:

Send an SMS 'PWD <last 4 digits of HDFC Card>' to 9717465555 from your mobile.

Send an SMS 'OTP <last 4 digits of Citi Card>' to 52484 or 9880752484 to generate an OTP.

SMS 'OTP <last 4 digits of your SBI Card>' to 5676791 from your mobile number registered with SBI.

Send an 'IOTP <space> <Your 16-digit ICICI Card Number>' to 5676766. .

Call customer support to obtain the OTP for other banks not listed above
