Fall Writing Workshop with Larry Habegger

As he does each autumn, TT Executive Editor Larry Habegger is organizing an advanced personal writing workshop in San Francisco. The series of classes will run seven consecutive weeks beginning October 2 and ending November 16. The meetings are once a week, two hours, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., at 4th and Townsend Streets, across the street from the Caltrain station, a short block from the Muni Metro stop and several bus lines, and for those who drive, free street parking is usually easy to find. The group will be a minimum of six people and a maximum of ten.

In the first session you'll get acquainted, talking about your experience, your goals, and, of course, the material you're working on. In the six subsequent sessions you'll work on your stories in depth. Each week half the group will send a story to everyone for all to read in advance so you can be prepared for discussion in class. This way, each participant gets three stories worked on over the seven weeks, and has the benefit of critiquing everyone else's pieces.
