Michel Bourez (PYF), 23, is off to a solid start to his 2010 campaign. The Tahitian powerhouse is sitting strong on the ASP World Title Ratings in the No. 12 position and has been building momentum throughout the year with a 33rd a 9th and a 5th for his results. Bourez took a moment during the break to fill in his fans on his year so far, his thoughts on the midseason cut, his training regiment and what his goals are for the remainder of the season.

Wilson Snags SriLankan Airlines Pro
Australian sensation Julian Wilson (AUS), 22, took out his first major ASP Star series win last week by clinching the ASP 6-Star SriLankan Airlines Pro over American goofy-footer Nat Young (USA), 19, at the firing righthand pointbreak of Arugam Bay after gaining entry into the event as a wildcard. The victory shows that the progressive natural-footer has fully recovered from his brutal ankle injury and is hungry to gain a position on the ASP Dream Tour.

Faria Wins in Brazil
While a mass of international campaigners flocked to the ASP 6-Star SriLankan Airlines Pro, the battle of the Brazilians was unfolding in Laguna, Santa Catarina, Brazil at the ASP 5-Star South to South Santa Maria Pro. Junior Faria (BRA), 23, wrapped up his first major ASP victory in front of a massive crowd over fellow compatriot Pedro Noberto to capitalize on the crucial ratings points on offer while establishing the fleet-footed natural footer well within the top 100 on ASP Men’s World Ranking.

Brian Robbins is New North America Tour Manager
Brian Robbins, 36, has officially begun his role as the new ASP North America Tour Manager. After nearly a decade of dedication to major surf brand Globe as U.S. Surf Team Manager and eventual International Surf Marketing Manager, Robbins' invaluable experience in working closely with top athletes such as C.J. and Damien Hobgood as well as his direct involvement with major ASP events including the Globe Pro Fiji will provide the perfect skill set as he transitions into his new role with the ASP.
