Otton Wins Oakley Saquarema PRIME Elite ASP World Tour campaigner Kai Otton has just won the Oakley Saquarema Prime in Brazil over Raoni Monteiro. The event saw everything from small left runners to massive victory-at-sea conditions that forced the event to be postponed, but eventually it was the Aussie talent who rose to the top of an impressive list of names in line for the crucial points on offer towards their ASP World Ranking. After just wrapping things up at Saquarema, the pack of professional surfing explorers will head south to Imbituba in Santa Catarina to continue their hunt for the heightened points available towards their ASP World Ranking. Quiksilver Clasico Mazatlan The first of three Latin American events are set to unfold next week with the ASP 4-Star Quiksilver Clasico Mazatlan landing at the lefthand pointbreak of Playa Camaron which is located in Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mexico. The 112-man field holds a waiting period from June 1 through 5 and will see a heavy list of Latin American underground talent ready to establish themselves on the men’s ASP World Ranking while several of America’s finest up-and-comers will head south of the U.S. Boarder to compete in Mexico’s original Surf City.
