Rip Curl Pro Portugal
The world’s best surfers have hopped from the south of France to Portugal for the second stop on the European leg of the ASP World Tour and the Rip Curl Pro Portugal has already seen some immaculate performances from the Top 34 while marching through the first couple of rounds in absolutely flawless Portuguese barrels. Supertubos in Peniche has delivered the goods thus far and with a favorable forecast the Rip Curl Pro Portugal should continue to see firing surf for the remainder of the contest!

Medina Wins Quiksilver Pro France!
In only his second event as an official member of the ASP Top 34, Brazilian rookie Gabriel Medina took out his maiden elite victory over fellow newcomer Julian Wilson to win the Quiksilver Pro France. The high-performance showdown saw mind-blowing performances from the next generation, while veteran surfer Taylor Knox proved power-surfing will always have its place as he charged his way to an impressive third place finish at La Graviere.

Andino Wins SuperSurf Internacional
17-year old California prodigy Kolohe Andino continued to build upon his stellar 2011 season in South America by defeating fellow American Tanner Gudauskas to win the ASP 6-Star SuperSurf Internacional at Itamambuca Beach in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Andino’s victory slots him at No. 34 on the ASP World Rankings and puts him in excellent position to join the elite ranks for the 2012 ASP World Tour while Gudauskas’ effort moves him to No. 38.

Kelly & Owen Talk Rivalry
Kelly Slater and Owen Wright currently sit at No. 1 and 2 on the ASP World Title Race respectively. The veteran Floridian and Aussie goofy-footer have met in three ASP Dream Tour event finals, with Slater taking two out of the three battles. The trifecta of Final match-ups has sparked talks of a newfound rivalry in the hunt for the ASP World Title and both Slater and Wright shared their perspective on the challenge during the Quiksilver Pro France.
