Rip Curl Pro Search
It’s time for the Rip Curl Pro Search again! This year the Rip Curl Pro Search has landed on America’s west coast in the beautiful city of San Francisco and will see the world’s best surfers battle it out at Ocean Beach. With Kelly Slater eying his 11th ASP World Title and the event marking a first major contest in San Fran, this event is set to be a sick one.

Pupo Wins O’Neill CWC
Brazilian ASP World Tour Rookie Miguel Pupo put on an amazing performance to clinch the 2011 ASP PRIME O’Neill Cold Water Classic California after the event bounced back and forth between the primary venue of Steamer Lane and the backup site of Waddell Creek. Pupo topped Portuguese veteran Tiago Pires to vault further up the ASP World Ranking while grabbing the additional US$50,000 for winning the O’Neill CWC Series!

Hurst Wins Women’s Arnette ASP World Jr.
Hawaiian talent Leila Hurst has taken out the Women’s Arnette ASP World Junior presented by Quiksilver, topping Joanne Defay to secure her spot atop the podium at the second stop on the 2011 ASP World Junior Tour. Hurst flared at both the lefthander of Arpoador as well as the backup site of Praia Do Diabo and while the lady’s event is done is dusted, men’s competition is likely to resume tomorrow with Round 4!

Williams Wins Swatch Girls Pro, Steinriede Take ASP WLT
Australian Chelsea Williams took out the inaugural Swatch Girls Pro China when she defeated Hawaiian Kelia Muniz in the first Chinese ASP contest in history which was held on Hainan Island. In addition to Williams elite longboarding win, Californian Lindsay Steinriede was crowned the 2011 ASP Women’s World Longboard Champion. Steinriede won the Roxy Pro Biarritz and finished 5th in China to find her way atop the ratings at year’s end.

Perillo and Brady, Rip Curl Pro Wildcards
After spending nearly every waking minute for 6 months Searching the Indonesia Archipelago last year for Rip Curl’s thoroughly documented Tip-to-Tip Search project, Dillon Perillo and Dean Brady find themselves paired up again…this time to take on the World’s best surfers as wildcards in the 2011 Rip Curl Pro Search “Somewhere in San Francisco”, set to go off November 1 – 12.
