PRIME TIME: Ballito It’s time for the Mr. Price Pro Ballito again! Last year’s event saw perfect barrels which culminated in a showdown between Patrick Gudauskas and John John Florence where the Californian came out on top. This year, elite ASP WCT surfer and South Africa’s top ranked talent Jordy Smith is on the hunt to bring the Mr. Price Pro Ballito crown back home. Paul Mitchell Supergirl Pro Confirmed  A new addition has been added to the ASP schedule, with the ASP 6-Star Paul Mitchell Supergirl Pro officially confirmed this August in Oceanside, California. The women’s event will be a crucial one for ladies looking to join the ASP Top 17, with WCT surfers outside of the bubble and up-and-comers alike looking to assert themselves on the ASP World Ranking prior to the year’s end. The Paul Mitchell Supergirl Pro will run from August 9 through 12.

SATA Airlines Azores Pro Confirmed for 2012 The ASP will return to the idyllic Azores islands this year with both men’s and women’s 6-Star events. For the first time in the event’s history, the men and women will share separate waiting periods, guaranteeing the best possible conditions for both divisions. The men’s event is slated to run from September 4 through 9 while the women’s event will run later in the month, from September 27 through 30.
