The highly anticipated arrival of the Volcom Fiji Pro has kicked off and the open ocean lefthander of Cloudbreak has not disappointed, delivering amazing waves for the first two days of the Volcom Fiji Pro waiting period. While the schedule is potentially looking at a few lay days, don’t worry, because a monster of a swell is expected to come crashing into Tavarua in the coming days ensuring the world’s best will be charging at Cloudbreak and Restaurants!

Conlogue Wins Swatch Girls Pro France
California standout Courtney Conlogue has taken out the ASP 6-Star Swatch Girls Pro France, furthering her hot-streak in premier women’s events. Conlogue, currently rated  fourth on the ASP Women’s World Title Race, has been building momentum among the world’s best surfers and with her recent performance in France, the natural-footer shows no signs of slowing down. Bianca Buitendag was also victorious, clinching the ASP Pro Junior division.

Billabong Pro Jeffreys Bay
After several years as an ASP WCT event, the Billabong Pro Jeffreys Bay will take a new role on the 2012 ASP schedule as an ASP 6-Star contest this season. The Billabong Pro Jeffreys Bay will host a 144 surfers vying for the points on offer towards their ASP World Ranking and with one of the best waves in the world as their playground, we’re sure it’ll be an impressive show. The Billabong Pro Jeffreys Bay will run from July 10 through 15, 2012.


 
INTERVIEW: Owen and Tyler Wright
The sport of surfing is no stranger to sibling success. The Irons, the Hobgoods, and the Gudauskas trio have all used brotherhood as a tool to push each other to achieve their best, but Owen and Tyler Wright are have emerged as the most dominant brother-sister duo in surfing’s history. Cloudbreak Super Session
The highly anticipated arrival of the Volcom Fiji Pro has returned and several of the world’s were spotted in the Cloudbreak line up well before the start of competition. Reigning 11-time ASP World Champion Kelly Slater, current ASP WCT No. 2 Mick Fanning and dangerous rookie John John Florence arrived early to Fiji amongst others and sunk their teeth into a flawless swell for the perfect warm up. Surfline, official forecasters for the Volcom Fiji Pro, were on hand to catch all of the magic and shared this super session in an amazing photo feature.

Fitzgibbons Crowned Aussie Bachelorette of the Year
Sally Fitzgibbons, current ASP Women’s World No. 2, has been crowned Australian Bachelorette of the Year by pop culture websitepedestrian.tv. Fitzgibbons was awarded the title over an impressive list of ladies that ranged from athletes to artists. The perky natural-footer has become an Australian sporting icon after finishing runner-up to the ASP Women’s World Title for the past two years and her popularity helped her win this latest accolade.
