Hobgood Wins in Azores! 2001 ASP World Champion C.J. Hobgood has made an amazing recovery after failing to requalify for the ASP Top 34 at the midyear rotation, winning the ASP PRIME Billabong Azores Islands Pro over fellow countrymen Nathan Yeomans after a week of pumping waves. The massive victory taken by Hobgood catapults him to No. 29 on the men’s ASP World Ranking, while Yeomans’ effort sits him at at No. 54.
