Brett Simpson (USA), 25, marched to an unimaginable repeat performance at the ASP PRIME US Open of Surfing presented by Hurley and Nike 6.0 to top current ASP World No. 1 Jordy Smith (ZAF), 22, and nine-time ASP World Champion Kelly Slater (USA), 38, to take his second consecutive $100,000 US Open check in front of his home crowd. The current ASP Dream Tour rookie also collected the heap of ratings points on offer towards his ASP World Ranking.
