Perrow Wins Billabong Pipe Masters Aussie veteran Kieren Perrow took out his maiden ASP World Tour event victory in amazing fashion when he defeated Joel Parkinson to win the Billabong Pipe Masters. The 2011 Billabong Pipe Masters ran in historic fashion, with massive 15 foot barrels detonating the iconic reef while the world’s best surfers went for broke at the final event of the 2011 ASP World Title Season. In addition to Perrow’s unforgettable performance, North Shore native John John Florence clinched the Vans Triple Crown, making him the youngest competitor ever to win the illustrious title.

ASP Top 34 Decided for 2012 With the completion of the 2011 ASP World Tour, the ASP Top 34 have been determined for 2012. This elite group of surfers will contest for the 2012 ASP World Title, starting on the Gold Coast of Australia in February. In addition to the new faces of the midyear rotation, the season opening Quiksilver Pro Gold Coast will see young American Kolohe Andino and Australian Yadin Nicol represent the newest faces for the 2012 season.

Julian Wilson Wins ASP Rookie of the Year With his performance as the most consistent surfer throughout the entire 2011 ASP World Title Season, Australian prodigy Julian Wilson has officially claimed the coveted ASP Rookie of the Year award. Wilson, who finished 9th overall on the ASP World Title Race, put in several mind-blowing performances over the year, including his first Final appearance at the Quiksilver Pro Gold Coast as well as a third at the Hurley Pro at Trestles.
