The 2012 ASP Women’s World Title Race is heating up. While four-time champ Stephanie Gilmore has strung together one of the best seasons of her career, compatriot Sally Fitzgibbons has also been on fire. Hall Wins Mr Price Pro Ballito
Veteran campaigner Glenn ‘Micro’ Hall has claimed the biggest victory of his career, winning the ASP Prime Mr Price Pro Ballito over Californian Nathaniel Curran. Micro has had an amazing season thus far, taking out a victory in China and a runner-up finish at the Nike Lowers Pro before his major win in South Africa. Hall now sits at No. 16 on the ASP World Ranking, putting him in excellent position to join the elite ranks for 2013.

Billabong Pro J Bay
The Billabong Pro J Bay will be represented as an ASP 6-Star this season and an extremely promising forecast is expected to see immaculate six-to-10 foot waves grace the lineup at Supertubes for the opening day. The 144 man draw will play host to an array of athletes from the sports legends to the next generation, and they’re all hoping to score pointbreak perfection at South Africa’s most iconic wave.  This year’s event will run from July 10 through 15, log on and watch it LIVE.

INTERVIEW: Pauline Ado on the Roxy Pro
ASP Women’s World Tour campaigner Pauline Ado had a breakthrough result at the Billabong Rio Pro, earning an equal 5th place finish to breathe a little life into her 2012 season. After a break between events, the French talent is feeling fresh and ready for her home event, the Roxy Pro Biarritz. The ASP caught up with Ado to get the full story on her year thus far and her excitement for the upcoming event.

Hank Gaskell Wins Copa Quiksilver El Salvador
Hard working Hawaiian ‘Hana’ Hank Gaskell has won the ASP 3-Star Copa Quiksilver El Salvador, defeating fellow Maui surfer and close friend Dege O’Connell in firing four-to-six foot waves at the flawless righthand pointbreak of Punta Roca. In addition to Gaskell’s epic performance, several young Latinos put on amazing showings to assert a name for themselves on the international stage.
